Species Seen:
Profile:
I have extensive experience of training working, pet and rescue dogs, both in kennels and in the home environment. My training ethos is relationship based, with a focus on building trust and consent aiming to formulate safe, simple, creative solutions for handlers to implement for those dogs who need a more tailored approach.
I have a keen interest in the safe rehabilitation of dogs with anxiety and aggression issues; and the training of high drive working breeds both as working dogs and home based pets. I have trained working, pet and rescue dogs, in appropriate settings to help them reach the goals of their training and their needs.
Alongside my work I am pursuing a PhD examining the language of the Dangerous Dogs Act and how legal understanding of certain terms differs to the understanding of the public.
