About Me:

Veterinary behaviourist Dr Katie Friel-Russell offers behaviour consults at Positive Pet Behaviour Vet for both dogs
and cats. Our consults are designed to address behavioural problems that may stem from emotional, physical,
or cognitive causes. Where appropriate, all fees can be claimed directly through pet insurance if your policy provides cover.

For our dog veterinary behaviour consults you’ll start with our comprehensive online course, which explains dog behaviour,
how dogs learn, and practical management strategies you can put into place straight away. This is followed by an initial
theory consult held online to discuss behavioural history, causes of the behaviour and emotional diagnosis.

Next comes the practical consult, delivered either in your home, at our training field, or virtually—whichever works best
for you. After this, you’ll receive a full written report detailing tailored exercises for you to practise at home.
Follow-up sessions are also available at an additional cost if needed.

Our cat veterinary behaviour consult is delivered virtually in a single session, helping to keep stress levels as l
ow as possible for your cat while allowing us to make progress as quickly as we can.

As a veterinary surgeon Dr Katie is also able to diagnose and treat medical influences on behaviour for all cases
where necessary working with your general practice vet. She can also prescribe any medications which may be
suitable to aid with behavioural modification.
