Claire Arrowsmith

Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CAB)

About Me:

Hello. I’ve been helping dogs, cats, and their owners with behaviour challenges since completing my Master’s in Applied Animal Behaviour and Animal Welfare at the University of Edinburgh in 2000.

I’m a full member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC), the Fellowship of Animal Behaviour Clinicians (FABC), am a registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist with ABTC and a Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourist with CCAB Ltd.

Through The Pet Behaviour Centre, I work with a wide range of behaviour cases and also lecture on university degree programmes at Harper Adams University. In addition, I provide expert advice as a behaviour advisor for a local police division.

I’ve written several books and produced DVDs for pet owners, and for over a decade I was the resident behaviour expert for Your Dog magazine. Earlier in my career, I ran Puppy School classes, worked with Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, and supported an animal rescue organisation.

I understand how distressing it can be to live with a pet experiencing behaviour problems. My approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and focused on setting clear, achievable goals to help you and your pet succeed.

At home, I share life with my own dogs, cats, and chickens; constant reminders of the joy and challenges that pets bring to our lives.

Business Hours:

I typically have an office day on either Monday or Friday but work mainly via emails so please make contact with your enquiry.
